What can one of our Structures be used for?

Our units are designed as basic living spaces that can be used for a variety of things.  Everything from primary home to rental suite, guest home, ADU, or even office. 

Are Optimus units built to code?

Absolutely. From initial engineering to licensed tradesman to modular inspection process an Optimus unit far exceeds code requirements in most of the United States.  This does not preclude the zoning and permitting regulations that may exist and should be discussed with our team in the initial discovery process. 

What does a standard 201 or 401 Living unit come with?

The standard 401 includes interior & exterior furnishings, Kitchen, Bathroom, Doors, Storage, Windows, and appliances.  Exterior deck and solar option packages are available.

How long does it take to get an Optimus unit?

Production of your home is completed within 10 weeks from the date the home deposit is made and necessary permits are obtained.  The permitting process can take anywhere from 1 to 12 months depending on the different jurisdictions.

Can you customize an Optimus unit?

We offer different options/packages within our units.  However, to streamline production and in-turn offer the best pricing to our customers we do not offer customization as part of our standard offering currently. If you are interested in customizing a unit outside our current offering, please contact our sales team for further discussions.

Are there dents or imperfections within the containers?

While we select only top-quality containers for production there some small dents or imperfections on the exterior of the units due to their recycled nature.

How are the units heated and cooled? and are they insulated?

We utilize a high-efficiency mini-split HVAC system to heat and cool the unit.  We use a high R-value closed cell spray foam insulation in every unit.  We offer an upgrade insulation package for extreme climates that may require such.

Can you have an Optimus home in extreme cold or hot locations?

Absolutely.  All our homes are built for the specific location they will be placed.  This includes upgrades to insulation and correct HVAC

Do you offer a solar alternative?

Yes, as an option we offer a complete solar panel and battery system from Sonnen.

Where do you ship to?

We currently can ship to the continental US at this time. 

How does the unit get from the production facility to the foundation site?

There are various modes of transportation to ship your unit depending on your location.  We will work with you to coordinate the most cost-effective method possible.

What type of foundation do you utilize?

We recommend and work with a pier system for both the unit and the deck if purchased as an option.  Required specifications to provide for permit requests will be provided.  Other foundation options are available based on specific locations.

Do you offer financing options?

We do not offer financing currently.  Please contact us directly and we will refer you to one of our partners who do based on your location.

What type of warranty comes with each unit?

Each unit comes with a 1-year warranty for defective workmanship of any sort which will be provided once the unit is installed and set-up.

Who installs the unit on-site?

This can be handled either by DYI with a local contractor or by utilizing our concierge service available in several markets in the United States.
